Rabbit Creole Bake

3 rabbits, cut into serving pieces

2 envelopes dry onion soup mix

2-1/4 cups boiling water

1 (16 ounce) can whole tomatoes, drained and chopped

1 (7 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained

1-1/2 cups uncooked regular rice

green pepper, chopped

salt and pepper to taste

In a baking dish place rabbit or squirrel pieces in a single layer.

In medium bowl blend onion soup mix, water, tomatoes, corn, rice and green pepper and pour into baking dish and cover. Bake in 350 degree oven for one and a half to two hours, or until meat is tender.
