Microwave Bluegrass Duck

1 wild duck

Allegro marinade or a suitable wild game marinade

2 - 3 onions, cut in quarters

1 can chicken broth

1/2 teaspoon each: sage, garlic powder and thyme

salt and pepper to taste

3 strips bacon

2 quart microwave covered dish

Skin one wild duck and marinate for eight hours, turning occasionally. Remove from marinade. Place one half the onions inside duck and place breast side up in dish. Place the rest of the onions around the outside of duck and add chicken broth. Sprinkle seasoning over meat. Place bacon strips over duck, cover and cook in microwave on high for 21 minutes (turning dish one fourth turn every seven minutes) or until done. Remove, slice and serve with broth as a gravy.
